How is this for us who have more pudge in the stomach? I love the look but weary of the drawstring.

I would play with a few options. First, try it open with the drawstring pulled (gathering the waist) and tied on each end. This should help accentuate the waist without drawing attention to the stomach. Second, depending on how the piece fits, maybe try it open, but just tying the drawstring, leaving the bottom part open, creating an a-line silhouette. This will work even better with a loose-fitting or babydoll style top under. So, I think it’s workable, just have to experiment.
