I kept seeing adorable outfits on Pinterest in which super simple knit dresses were flawlessly styled into adorable outfits. And I’ll be honest with you, for a moment I thought: that looks good on thin women, maybe that’s a thin woman thing. After all, most tall and skinny types look genius in burlap sacks. I had to check myself. Since when do I think anything is “for thin women?”
After all, one of my missions in life is to show all women that they can wear anything and look amazeballs! Sometimes you have to call bullshit on yourself because we are so influenced by the images we see, even on a subconscious level. No one is impervious to the tabloids showing the cellulite of movie stars. I try to replace that noise as much as possible by reading plus size fashion blogs. Seeing women like myself regularly helps give me a reality-check. Despite societal ideas, I am not a troll undeserving of a killer pair of skinny jeans and booties. Seriously, booties? I’m still mystified by that one.
So I was thrilled to come across this adorable plus size henley dress from Torrid. In an instant, I created an outfit in my mind and thought, “Yessss, it can be done.” Just add some boots, boot socks, and a chunky scarf and you are good to go!
