Plus Size Cozy Loungewear

As I desperately put my space heater dangerously close to my legs, I realized that it’s been a bit since I have posted any plus size cozy loungewear.  And I don’t know about where you live, but here it is cozy loungewear season!  Also, my furnace isn’t working, hence the space heater situation.  Plus Size Cozy Loungewear with Barefoot Dreams Cardigan, T-Shirt, Leggings, and Leopard Calf Hair Slippers - Alexa Webb #Plussize #alexawebb

Staying Warm

When I woke up freezing, the first item I went for was my Barefoot dreams cardigan.  These babies are so so soft and snuggly.  Side note: I am also wearing their socks, which are so warm and toasty.

Well, full transparency, I couldn’t find a matching pair, so I am wearing one of my Barefoot Dreams socks and a similar “Butter Sock” on the other foot.  Oh and I have on my Crocs!  So clearly I need this loungewear look because I look a bit ridiculous over here!  Don’t judge me! 😉

Barefoot Dreams

Let’s chat for a minute about Barefoot Dreams, they make a bunch of items, including cardigans, socks, and throws.  All with their super soft bouclé knit, which is one of the softest textiles I’ve ever touched!  I mention all of this because the holiday season is upon us and any Barefoot Dreams item would make a great gift.  Hint hint!

Compression Leggings

This plus size loungewear look also includes some Spanx leggings which are made from their “Slim X” compression fabric.  I like the 7/8 length, which are actually more like full length on me at 5’4″, but they also have full length and crop versions.  And if those aren’t in your budget, here are some less expensive compression leggings.

Blue Light Blocking Glasses

And I also added my blue light blocking glasses, which I am currently wearing.  If you haven’t heard of this latest “trend,” these glasses block blue light that comes from screens.  They are supposed to help prevent eye-strain, headaches, and other ill-effects of staring at screens all day.

Blue light can also affect your circadian rhythm.  If you are using screens (tv, computer, phone, etc) at night, theoretically, the blue light, which signals it’s daytime to your brain, can cause delayed sleep and insomnia.  That is my main reason for trying these blue light blocking glasses.

I work late at night and have always struggled with my circadian rhythm.  I will try anything that might help.  So far, I think they do reduce my eye-strain and I have noticed less issues falling asleep.  I can’t say it is definitively the glasses, but they can’t hurt.

  1. I live in Sweden and have not so many options to shop from I have H&M, Ålens, M&Q…. how about a challenge….. A Swedish shopping spree? 🙂

  2. Thank you so much you have wonderful taste! I find it hard to put together a decent outfit. Your help is much appreciated. One question I have though isI carry weight in my thighs so most pants, jeans and trousers hug them-and it looks terrible and I dislike wearing shape wear all the time can you suggest brands that would help? Thank you Yvonne

    1. Hi Yvonne,
Is your concern the tightness because you want a looser pant? Or is it a shaping or showing “imperfections” issue? Also, do you know your body shape? Like are you a pear shape? I might be able to make some suggestions!

  3. Hello Alexa, my issue is that I do not want my imperfections showing. My cellulite and just large my thighs are. Without wearing shape ware because they will mask the cottage cheese look but, it still shows how large they are. Thanks for getting back to me. Yvonne
