Outfit Details

Like I said, this plus size summer outfit idea is a little Bohemian. 

A beautiful eyelet lace top is paired with some plus size wide leg trouser jeans.

Eyelet Tops

Trouser Jeans

I included some medium wash “trouser jeans,” which have a wide leg and a high rise.

J.Crew Sizing

These wide leg trouser jeans are from J.Crew.

In case you haven’t heard, J.Crew now has many items in plus sizes up to a size 24 or 3X. 

Their sizing is comparable to Lane Bryant. 

One thing to note is that some of their pants and jeans come by waist sizing (vanity), so check the size chart below to see which size you are.

Accessories

I really tried to go boho with the accessories.

Like this whipstitched convertible shoulder bag is the quintessential Bohemian bag.

It’s made of soft suede in this gorgeous cognac color, which can be worn on the shoulder or across the body with a longer strap.

And these wedge sandals go perfectly with the look while giving you a bit of height with some nice stability.

The featured sandals have a 2.75″ heel with a .375″ platform. 

If that rise is a little too much, try these platform sandals with a flatter rise.  They have a 2.5″ heel and 1.25″ platform so they should be pretty comfortable.

Lastly, top the look with some designer square sunglasses.  Or try these for a more affordable price.

Jewelry

Continuing on with the boho vibe, I added some turquoise jewelry with some modern gold.

Starting with this turquoise lariat necklace that will look so sexy with this blouse!

Add some bold gold hoop earrings. 

Or try my favorite inexpensive versions (I have these earrings in all four sizes).

Then I picked a stack of oversized gold bangles 

And then I finished the look with this turquoise ring and a gold dome ring.

Lip Gloss Stick: A New Fave

I know that I used to talk about my favorite lipsticks all the time… and then YSL discontinued them.  Gasp! 

But these YSL Loveshine Lip Oil Sticks are the same formula with a new scent!  I ordered and tried my favorite shade, Nude Lavalliere, from Sephora. and can confirm they are the same!

However, I also tried this YSL lippie “Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick” in “Showcasing Nude” and must say that I like this formula better.  Double gasp!

It seems to be as moisturizing as the Loveshine Lip Oil Sticks but with a better glossy finish.

They don’t last very long on the lips, but the moisture does, for sure.

Anyway, I know they are crazy expensive!  Like, bonkers.  But, they are SO good!

If you’re in the market for a bougie splurge, maybe give them a try?

Perfume

As for the perfume, Kilian Paris’s “Love, don’t be shy” Perfume has become a recent favorite.

It’s a sophisticated orange blossom perfume with marshmallow notes and a warm amber base. 

Not your typical citrus perfume, but a sexy and elevated smell!

If you’re feeling bougie it’s definitely worth the splurge.

However, I know it is pricy so if the price is over budget or you just want to try it “guilt free,” perhaps try Dossier’s “Floral Marshmallow.”

As I have mentioned many times, I have tried several of Dossier’s scents and think they are fantastic for a fraction of the price.
