I love that timeless classics are trending! Like houndstooth… yes!

If you’re a fan of the English Countryside and Dark and Light Academia aesthetics, now is the time to stock up on some of these types of pieces.

I hate to give into a scarcity mentality, but plus sizes seem to be less available now than recent years.

So, if you see something you love, you might want to get it.

Outfit 1 Details

And if you love houndstooth, you are going to love that this faux double-breasted blazer has gold buttons and elbow patches!

This blazer’s super-flattering cut will have you loving your shape! It’s open front, without the excess fabric of a “true” double-breasted blazer, will create a beautiful silhouette.

Layer this stunning blazer over a black lightweight fine gauge sweater turtleneck. If you live in a warm climate, opt for a sleeveless-version of this underpinning.

Wear the turtleneck tucked in with this chic black belt or untucked if that’s more of your vibe.

But, if you want to experiment with a belted tuck-in, this is a great opportunity since the blazer will really flatter your figure.

Put these layers of these amazing plus size trouser jeans.

J.Crew Jeans

Speaking of the jeans, they’re a wide leg that are fitting through the hip and slowly widen.

They don’t have a lot of stretch, but will make your legs look so long!

These wide leg trouser jeans are from J.Crew.  

In case you haven’t heard, J.Crew now has many items in plus sizes up to a size 24 or 3X. 

Their sizing is comparable to Lane Bryant. 

One thing to note is that some of their pants and jeans come by waist sizing (vanity), so check the size chart below to see which size you are.

Accessories

Add some modern accessories like these low heeled pointed-toe suede pumps. Ot try these flats, if you prefer.

I love a pointed toe shoe with wide leg jeans and flares. They really elongate the leg.

Next add a East-West style shoulder bag in black. So chic!

Now add a very on-trend accessory with these designer sunglasses. Or try these if you’re on a budget.

Jewelry

Keep the jewelry simple and timeless.  I love these basic gold drop earrings.

Or try these for a more affordable option.

Next, layer on my classic gold wrist stack, including this Tory Burch watch and bangle bracelet.

Add this tiger’s eye statement ring to add more brown into the look.

Lastly, throw on my favorite gold ring.  I wear it on my index finger.  So fabulous!

Lip Gloss Stick: A New Fave

I recently tried the YSL lippie “Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick” in “Showcasing Nude” and must say that I like this formula better than my favorite YSL lippies!  Gasp!

I added this “lip gloss stick” in “Watermelon High.”

It seems to be as moisturizing as the Loveshine Lip Oil Sticks but with a better glossy finish.

They don’t last very long on the lips, but the moisture does, for sure.

Anyway, I know they are crazy expensive!  Like, bonkers.  But, they are SO good!

If you’re in the market for a bougie splurge, maybe give them a try?

Perfume

Now make sure you smell as effortlessly chic as you look!

I included Chanel’s Gabrielle, which is such a “rich” floral fragrance.

If it’s over your budget, I highly recommend you try the Dossier version.

I ordered a bunch of their scents.  And so far, I love them! 

I own their “Floral Ylang Ylang,” which is inspired by Chanel’s Gabrielle.

And I think it’s great.  In fact, I used the entire bottle already!  

For me, that is really saying something.  It’s a great “every day” scent.

Oh la la!  An amazing luxury scent at a fraction of the price!

This second look is much like the first, but I added a no-iron white shirt.

Add some more modern jewelry with these oversized “nugget” earrings. I love!

Outfit 3 Details

This third look is much like the last, but I swapped the accessories!

Instead of black, add some rich brown tones with a pair of geometric designer sunglasses in “Havana.”

Next add a rich rust brown suede quilted shoulder bag. Love!

Make the outfit even more interesting with some leopard print in this calf hair belt. So good!
