Linen Keeps You Cool

Linen is perfect for staying cool in the summer!

The black flare leg pants in all of these looks are a linen-blend.

Linen is just a classy fabric.  Period.  It drapes in a lovely and unmistakable way.

And linen is a natural fiber known for keeping you cool in hot weather.  Yes!

That’s because linen breathes and absorbs moisture.

But Linen Wrinkles…

Linen might seem difficult to deal with, but it’s actually quite easy.  And it’s machine washable! 

As I’ve said, people often ask me how to keep their linen clothes from wrinkling.

For one, linen is always going to wrinkle.  Always. 

And really, that is part of “the look.”  You know, that rich bougie b!tch look that I love so much!

Two, a linen-blend, like these pants, will wrinkle less.     

And three, if you iron with starch, linen will wrinkle slightly less.  But, I say, just let it go!

Outfit 1 Details

As I said above, these plus size black flare leg pants are a linen-blend, making them an excellent choice for warm days.

They have a 32″ inseam.  If you’re shorter, you may want to try these wide leg linen trousers with a 28.5″ inseam.

Top the pants with a refined knit elbow-length sleeve tee in black.

Finish the look with some key accessories starting with this tiger-print belt.  Hot!

Add a large fan-shaped raffia tote with black trim.

It will look great with these raffia footbed sandals, which also have black trim.  So chic!

Jewelry

As for jewelry, I opted for some trendy huggie gold hoop earrings.

Or try these for a similar but less expensive look.

 For a necklace, try this on-trend gold “nugget” necklace.

I also recommend you try this one, which is inexpensive and a long-time reader favorite.

For the wrist, stack on some trendy stretchy bracelets.

I have these, which are more affordable and fit my slightly-larger-than-average wrists with plenty of room.

And lastly, complete the sculptural jewelry trend with a gold dome ring.

Perfume: Le Labo’s Santal 33.

For the scent, I included one of the most-loved fragrances from Le Labo: Santal 33.

Santal 33 is a unisex fragrance described as “captures a defining image of the spirit of the American West.” 

Essentially, it smells like you bottled the aura of a hippie’s spirit animal with the collective mood of Burning Man, then added some sandalwood.

If it’s over your budget, I highly recommend you try the Dossier version or the Twist version.

Both brands make fragrances inspired by designer scents.

I tried the brand Dossier.  I ordered a bunch of their scents.  And so far, I love them! 

Lip Gloss Stick: A New Fave

I know that I used to talk about my favorite lipsticks all the time… and then YSL discontinued them.  Gasp! 

But these YSL Loveshine Lip Oil Sticks are the same formula with a new scent!  I ordered and tried my favorite shade, Nude Lavalliere, from Sephora. and can confirm they are the same!

However, I also tried this YSL lippie “Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick” in “Showcasing Nude” and must say that I like this formula better.  Double gasp!

It seems to be as moisturizing as the Loveshine Lip Oil Sticks but with a better glossy finish.

They don’t last very long on the lips, but the moisture does, for sure.

Anyway, I know they are crazy expensive!  Like, bonkers.  But, they are SO good!

If you’re in the market for a bougie splurge, maybe give them a try?

Outfit 2 Details

Another neutral look with an all-black “base” of the same plus size linen flare leg pants and a cashmere pointelle short-sleeve T-shirt.

Open weave knits are trending and I love how they look polished and will also keep you cool.

For the accessories, I added some browns.

Top the look with these tortoise designer shades, or try these, which are much more affordable.

Add a tan belt and “teak” woven tote.

Complete the outfit with leopard footbed sandals.

Jewelry

Since this top has an airy feel, I opted for a lighter stack for the wrists, which you’ve seen before. 

Many of these bracelets are from the brand Mevecco on Amazon.

I recently purchased this turquoise bracelet, paperclip bracelet, and cable bracelet.

I freakin’ love them all!
