My “Disclaimer”

I want to prevent some anticipated feedback.  So please keep these things in mind:

  • “Budget” is relative.  Some people easily spend $300 on sunglasses, while other people allocate $300 for their annual clothing budget.
  • You may be able to find these items elsewhere for less.  These are just some “budget-friendly” finds I have come across.  And I typically don’t link to clearance items because they sell out and then people are disappointed.  Also, I have no way of linking to thrift stores, but obviously, if you want to check out your local thrift stores, I think that is a great idea!
  • Recycle & reuse.  As with all of my posts, I hope that you can use the pieces you already have in your wardrobe.  Additionally, I assume that you can reuse all of the pieces below in other combinations with things in your closet to create a variety of looks.  Meaning, I think it is unfair to judge the expense of one outfit as though that is the only way to wear the pieces.

Outfit Details

When I saw this gorg navy blue and white polka dot maxi dress with on-trend puff sleeves, I knew I had to feature it on the blog!

This head-turning dress is 100% cotton, washable, and available in sizes XS – 4X. Oh and it’s under $35! Crazy, right? Crazy good.

Make the look pop with some red patent ballet flats or try these which are an incredible deal!

And of course, if you’re gonna add some red, why not a red lip? This lipstick is a nice neutral to cool toned red. Try the “Red-Hot” shade for a warmer tone.

Throw on some chic accessories like these oversized designer-inspired sunglasses and brown shoulder bag.

Jewelry

Keep the jewelry simple starting with some 24mm dome earrings in gold. I love that they’re so oversized!

And if you’re worried about these earrings sitting correctly on your lobes, try these stabilizing backs or opt for a smaller size.

Add a delicate chain necklace, which is 16″ with a 2″ extender. Try a longer extender, if needed.

Also, a classic gold watch will look great.

Lastly, add a gold dome ring like this one. I have it and love it!

By the way, you can check out my Amazon store and follow me on Amazon for more of my finds.

Jewelry Care

The aforementioned beauties are gold plated, so you might need to “baby” them for longevity.

Avoid the obvious: showers, pools, hot tubs, spraying your wrist with perfume while wearing them.

Store them in air-tight plastic bags, if possible.  This will keep the gold plating from damage and tarnishing.

Perfume

As for the perfume, it’s my longtime “signature scent.”

I have been in love with this fragrance, Vera Wang, since college.

It may smell “dated” but I always get compliments on it.

And the best part is that now it’s inexpensive!
