Plus Size on a Budget – Summer Work Outfits

Two plus size summer work outfits for my “plus size on a budget series!”

Plus Size on a Budget – Summer Work Outfits

My “Disclaimer”

I want to prevent some anticipated feedback.  So please keep these things in mind:

  • “Budget” is relative.  Some people easily spend $300 on sunglasses, while other people allocate $300 for their annual clothing budget.
  • You may be able to find these items elsewhere for less.  These are just some “budget-friendly” finds I have come across.  And I typically don’t link to clearance items because they sell out and then people are disappointed.  Also, I have no way of linking to thrift stores, but obviously, if you want to check out your local thrift stores, I think that is a great idea!
  • Recycle & reuse.  As with all of my posts, I hope that you can use the pieces you already have in your wardrobe.  Additionally, I assume that you can reuse all of the pieces below in other combinations with things in your closet to create a variety of looks.  Meaning, I think it is unfair to judge the expense of one outfit as though that is the only way to wear the pieces.

Outfit 1 Details

Both of these plus size on a budget outfits feature this blue and white striped ruffle sleeve shirt.  So cute!

I paired this shirt with beige bootcut trousers, which are an amazing price and available in sizes 0 – 28.  Wow!

But the accessories for each look are a bit different.

In this first look, I included a trendy woven tote, which is designer-inspired.

And raffia H sandals.

Top the look with these oversized and stunning aviator sunglasses.

Jewelry

Keep the jewelry classic with these chic cable hoop earrings.

Then I added one of my favorite bracelets that fits my slightly-wider-than-average wrist.

And it looks so much more expensive than it is!

Lastly, finish the look with two trendy sculptural rings: a dome ring and an abstract statement ring.

Beauty

I have talked about this pinky-nude satin lipstick a lot (I know, but it’s so good!).

It is my favorite “drugstore” nude lip and a great option for fair to light-medium skin.

As for the perfume, it’s my longtime “signature scent.”

I have been in love with this fragrance, Vera Wang, since college.

It may smell “dated” but I always get compliments on it.

And the best part is that now it’s inexpensive.

Outfit 2 Details

As always, I want to show you some alternative ways to style things…

So this second look is much like the first, same striped ruffle sleeve shirt and bootcut trousers.

But, this time I added a cognac belt and camel pointed toe ballet flats.  So rich!

By the way, these flats also come in wide width!

Top the look with some designer-inspired brown tortoise geometric sunglasses.

Speaking of which, have you seen my Splurge vs Save series on LTK?  You’re gonna wanna check that out!

Jewelry

For jewelry, I went modern with some amazing gold pieces.

Starting with these chunky drop earrings.

For the wrist, try this on-trend gold bangle.

Lastly, a gold dome ring and sculptural ring finish the look.
