I added a Saint Laurent caned tote bag. It is absolutely stunning!
But it is also quite pricey. Ok, so it’s bonkers expensive.
So, I found some more affordable alternatives.
The Espadrilles
The black espadrille wedges add some casual sophistication to the look.
I like that they’re close-toed in case you want to wear them to work.
But, obviously, open-toes work as well.
The Jewelry
For jewelry, I stuck to some classic gold pieces.
Personally, I think gold coin jewelry never goes out of style. But, these pieces are currently trending.
A coin medallion necklace and a coin charm bracelet are perfect for this look.
And a simple pair of flat wide hoops can be worn for work or play!
Lipstick
Finish off your look with a hot pink lip, like “Rose Saint Germain” from YSL.
As I’ve said, the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-in-Stick Lipsticks (or here) are my favorite lipsticks.
I readily admit they are bougie AF and totally break the budget. But they are amazing!
They’re 65% oil and feel amazing on the lips! Not to mention they smell fantastic.
Plus, the packaging is so gorgeous that I actually bought a lipstick holder like this one to display them.
And I just can’t say enough great things about them!
The closest lippies I have found at more reasonable prices are L’Oreal’s Colour Riche Shine Lipstick and Sephora’s Rouge Lacquer Lipsticks.
While both are similar, they aren’t even close to the decadence of the YSL ones.

I just subscribed to your blog – I only wish I knew about it sooner! You offer knowledgeable (i.e., the ⅓ to ⅔ style commentary), chic, affordable alternatives to your presented looks. This look is exactly what I was looking for for a 2 day trip to downtown Boston. One suggestion – I suffer from bunions- and when I plan to do prolonged walking, sightseeing, etc. I wear pumps or ankle boots from Orthofeet. While not as stylish as shoes you recommend, they make a world of difference to anyone with painful knee, back, feel problems. (not an endorsement just a lifesaver for me.
