Health Update

In case you missed it, I am about to have spinal surgery to remove a large tumor thats compressing my spinal cord.

I will be recovering for at least three months, so content may be intermittent. I honestly really don’t know what to expect yet.

A matching athleisure set is an easy way to look “put together” and be super comfortable. Yes!

And this reader-favorite set comes in 10 colors and in sizes 1X (14W-16W) – 5X (30W-32W).

Outfit 1 Details

In the first two looks, I styled this blog favorite for warm weather with some on-trend and bougie favorites.

The accessories in this look are some of the hottest trends for spring and summer.

We’re going to see a lot of thick rimmed aviator sunglasses. Love! So retro!

For sandals, I chose these Tory Burch footbed sandals. Obviously, any comfortable footbed sandals will do, like these Birkenstocks, which are great for wide width feet.

They’ll look so great with a Polène leather-trimmed raffia tote bag. I am in love with this bag, which also comes in a smaller size, the “Cyme Mini Raffia Edition.”

Now my disclaimer… Despite my insane willingness to occasionally treat myself to a designer bag, often with a hefty price tag, you won’t catch me paying the full price for this bag. Why?

Because raffia, a grass or straw-like natural fiber, is a material that just won’t hold up over time. This, is, of course, just my opinion and my lifestyle. And I don’t “baby” my bags. So if I don’t think a bag will last for years to come, I can’t justify a big price tag.

That said, if you’ve got it like that, you do you. This bag is GORGEOUS! Respect.

I looked for pre-owned bags and I found one, but it has an even bigger price tag! And the one I found on Ebay may not be authentic, so not worth it. Again, just my opinion.

I did however find what looks to be a “copycat.” It is likely being illegally manufactured and in terrible conditions. What I am saying is that it is unlikely that this bag was made ethically. But, the same can be said for many things we purchase. I’m on the fence about including it in this post, but if you search Google, there are many. So I figured better to educate and let you (my readers) use your judgement. You can learn more about counterfeit bags here and here.

I also found this tote that is similar at a much better price. And as we head into spring, there will be more similar options available. So if you’re contemplating a similar bag, maybe wait a bit longer. But, as always, you do you!

Bangle Bracelets for Plus Size

Stacking the wrists with chunky bangle bracelets will also be a trend, but if you have large wrists or arms, you know this can be problematic.

So, I started to dig and I found some from Torrid that are larger (this one and that one). Woo hoo!

And these in gold to mix things up!

I also found some similar bracelets on Amazon that stretch but have a similar effect! See these and these! I also found these that may fit better for some.

I also found some buffalo horn bangles that come in many sizes. I can’t speak to the ethics of these bracelets, but they say they’re handmade in Vietnam. Again, please use your judgement and your ethics.

On my quest, I also found “plus size” bamboo bangles, and bangle bracelets that from the plus size/curve collection of ASOS. See these, these, and these.

Perfume

I included a new low key everyday perfume favorite: “Rare” Eau de Parfum by Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez.

It’s a warm and sweet gourmand scent, which if you’re a regular reader, you know has been my vibe lately.

But, it’s not too sweet and I love the way the sandalwood keeps the vanilla and caramel balanced.

You know I am terrible at describing perfumes, which is hilarious since I attempt to do it all of the time! Haha!

Bottom line, I think this is a lovely, easy going fragrance that is great for casual days. Perhaps worth a try if you want to try a gourmand that’s not too sweet or overpowering.
