Outfit 1 Details

Both of these plus size outfits feature a beautiful layered-looking black sequined shirt.

I love this two-fer! But, if you have a white collared shirt, you can add a long sleeve sequin tee like this one or that one, to get a similar effect.

In this first look, I paired the two-fer sequined top with some plus size trouser jeans.

J.Crew Jeans

Speaking of the jeans, they’re a wide leg that are fitting through the hip and slowly widen.

They don’t have a lot of stretch, but will make your legs look so long!

These wide leg trouser jeans are from J.Crew.

In case you haven’t heard, J.Crew now has many items in plus sizes up to a size 24 or 3X.

Their sizing is comparable to Lane Bryant.

One thing to note is that some of their pants and jeans come by waist sizing (vanity), so check the size chart below to see which size you are.

Plus Size Coat & Faux Fur Collar

I saw this coat at Zara, which unfortunately is only available in sizes XS – XL. And it runs small. C’mon, Zara!

So of course, I searched for a plus size version…. there isn’t one.

Then I thought, why not add a faux fur collar or scarf to a black coat?

I had some luck finding some on Amazon and Etsy. Look at labels carefully for faux fur vs genuine fur.

Accessories

Make the look even more extra with some embellished black loafers.

Top the look with a very on-trend accessory: designer rectangle sunglasses. Or try these if you’re on a budget.

Lip Gloss Stick: A New Fave

I recently tried the YSL lippie “Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick” in “Showcasing Nude” and must say that I like this formula better than my favorite YSL lippies! Double gasp!

I added this “lip gloss stick” in “Watermelon High.”

It seems to be as moisturizing as the Loveshine Lip Oil Sticks but with a better glossy finish.

They don’t last very long on the lips, but the moisture does, for sure.

Anyway, I know they are crazy expensive! Like, bonkers. But, they are SO good!

If you’re in the market for a bougie splurge, maybe give them a try?

Perfume

I have a tradition of bringing a giant bag of perfume samples for my friends to try to gatherings. Yes, I am weird.

And I did so this summer at my birthday extravaganza. My friends were trying out perfumes while I was raving about my obsession with KAYALI’s “Yum Boujee Marshmallow,” which I still find strange that I love such a sweet scent.

Anyway, the point is, my friend Marianne kept commenting about her love of Prada’s “Paradoxe.”

And to be honest, it never really struck me as anything special, but her obsession made me curious.

So I continued to spray and sniff… and now, I get it! I love it!

This perfume is a warm floral with some white musk and neroli bud. It’s floral but with a bit of sophistication. It reminds me of what an “it girl” would wear with a slinky dress circa 1999. Think Sex and the City’s “naked dress” from Season 1.

But, it has very mixed reviews, so perhaps trying the Dossier version is a good option.

As I’ve said, I have tried several of Dossier’s scents and think they are fantastic for a fraction of the price!

For this second look I kept the mafia boss’ wife vibes but switched up the black coat and faux fur wrap with a full faux fur coat. Fab!!!!

Like I said above, I’m keeping the featured beautiful layered-looking black sequined shirt, but changing the trouser jeans for some flare jeans.

Switch the black embellished loafers for some comfy but super cute silver kicks.
