My Absence

You may have already noticed the my posting cadence has slowed. And it will likely continue to fluctuate as I am dealing with more, yes, more, health issues. Sigh.

The long and short of it is that among many things, I have a spinal tumor compressing my spinal cord that needs to be surgically removed ASAP.

Outfit 1 Details

I love camel and cornflower blue together. These are complementary colors, so they “pop” next to each other. You can read more about that here.

All of these outfit ideas feature the same “base:” a blue and white striped shirt with some trouser jeans.

And some of the same accessories, like these blue adidas sneakers and this tan designer tote bag.

But, in this first look, I topped the base with a camel blazer.

J.Crew Jeans

Speaking of the jeans, they’re a wide leg that are fitting through the hip and slowly widen.

They don’t have a lot of stretch, but will make your legs look so long!

These wide leg trouser jeans are from J.Crew.

In case you haven’t heard, J.Crew now has many items in plus sizes up to a size 24 or 3X.

Their sizing is comparable to Lane Bryant.

One thing to note is that some of their pants and jeans come by waist sizing (vanity), so check the size chart below to see which size you are.

Jewelry

Add some more modern jewelry with these oversized “nugget” earrings. I love!

And if you’re worried about these earrings sitting correctly on your lobes, try these stabilizing backs.

Then add this gold pebble necklace, which is also on trend.

Or try one of this blog’s bestsellers: a gold pear-shaped pendant necklace at a very affordable price!

Add my usual “preppy” wrist stack, including this Tory Burch watch and bangle bracelet.

And lastly, add a blue statement ring! I have been very into statement rings recently and picked up this one and this one recently.

Lip Gloss Stick: A New Fave

I recently tried the YSL lippie “Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick” in “Showcasing Nude” and must say that I like this formula better than my favorite YSL lippies! Gasp!

I added this “lip gloss stick” in “Watermelon High.”

It seems to be as moisturizing as the Loveshine Lip Oil Sticks but with a better glossy finish.

They don’t last very long on the lips, but the moisture does, for sure.

Anyway, I know they are crazy expensive! Like, bonkers. But, they are SO good!

If you’re in the market for a bougie splurge, maybe give them a try?

Perfume

I included a new low key everyday perfume favorite: “Rare” Eau de Parfum by Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez.

It’s a warm and sweet gourmand scent, which if you’re a regular reader, you know has been my vibe lately.

But, it’s not too sweet and I love the way the sandalwood keeps the vanilla and caramel balanced.

You know I am terrible at describing perfumes, which is hilarious since I attempt to do it all of the time! Haha!

Bottom line, I think this is a lovely, easy going fragrance that is great for casual days. Perhaps worth a try if you want to try a gourmand that’s not too sweet or overpowering.
