I know most of us are frightened of the barrel leg trend, but I am telling you, they will work for many people!
And I think it’s here to stay for a bit. So why not give them a try?
Accessories
I wanted this look to be a little preppy with ’90s vibes. So i opted for these classic loafers. Love them!

A timeless tote from Gucci is a great investment piece, but if it’s not in the budget, check out my alternatives.
And finally, top the look with some Ray-Ban Mega Wayfarer sunglasses, I love this modern take on an icon.
Jewelry
Add a small pop of color with these aqua chalcedony drop earrings.
Then go with my classic gold wrist stack, including this Tory Burch watch and bangle bracelet.
Lastly, add my favorite gold ring. I wear it on my index finger or thumb. Love!
Perfume
I have a tradition of bringing a giant bag of perfume samples for my friends to try at gatherings. Yes, I am weird.
And I did so this summer at my birthday extravaganza. My friends were trying out perfumes while I was raving about my obsession with KAYALI’s “Yum Boujee Marshmallow,” which I still find strange that I love such a sweet scent.
Anyway, the point is, my friend Marianne kept commenting about her love of Prada’s “Paradoxe.”
And to be honest, it never really struck me as anything special, but her obsession made me curious.
So I continued to spray and sniff… and now, I get it! I love it!
This perfume is a warm floral with some white musk and neroli bud. It’s floral but with a bit of sophistication. It reminds me of what an “it girl” would wear with a slinky dress circa 1999. Think Sex and the City’s “naked dress” from Season 1.
But, it has very mixed reviews, so perhaps trying the Dossier version is a good option.
As I’ve said, I have tried several of Dossier’s scents and think they are fantastic for a fraction of the price!

When the weather requires another layer, try a classic trench coat.

J.Crew Jeans
Speaking of the jeans, they’re a wide leg that are fitting through the hip and slowly widen.
They don’t have a lot of stretch, but will make your legs look so long!
These wide leg trouser jeans are from J.Crew.
In case you haven’t heard, J.Crew now has many items in plus sizes up to a size 24 or 3X.
Their sizing is comparable to Lane Bryant.
One thing to note is that some of their pants and jeans come by waist sizing (vanity), so check the size chart below to see which size you are.
Accessories
Add some unexpected pops of green with this pretty coral cardi.
Stay comfortable in these green sneakers, which will look great with these green stud earrings.
Speaking of jewelry, I added some gorg green pieces.
Top the look with some chic designer shades.
And a brown bucket bag with an adjustable strap that you can wear on the shoulder or adjust to across the body.
Perfume
As for the perfume, Kilian Paris’s “Love, don’t be shy” Perfume has become a recent favorite.
It’s a sophisticated orange blossom perfume with marshmallow notes and a warm amber base.
Not your typical citrus perfume, but a sexy and elevated smell!
If you’re feeling bougie it’s definitely worth the splurge.
However, I know it is pricy so if the price is over budget or you just want to try it “guilt free,” perhaps try Dossier’s “Floral Marshmallow.”
As I have mentioned many times, I have tried several of Dossier’s scents and think they are fantastic for a fraction of the price.
