Plus Size Fall Athleisure Cardigan

Outfit 1 Details

Like I said, both of these outfit ideas include a coordinating set of a cocoon cardigan and wide leg pants in a muted green.

Wear the set with a white tee.

For the bag, I chose this sling bag that Rosey Blair swears is a great choice for plus size gals.  She rocks it and is a size 24.

And for shoes, I went with rose gold Birkenstock sandals.

Birkenstock Sizing

As I mention below, Birkenstock sizing can be a little confusing.

First, they’re made in Germany so they use European sizing, which is whole sizes only.

Second, some of their sandals, including those featured here, have unisex footbeds. 

This means they are wider than women’s sandals.

So for Birkenstock sandals, a “Regular” width fits medium to wide feet. 

And “Narrow” fits narrow to medium width feet.

Bottom line, check the width carefully before ordering Birks.

Jewelry

As for jewelry, I added several labradorite pieces including these earrings, necklace, and ring.

I also added some blue and turquoise pieces like this necklace and this bracelet.

Layer on some delicate baubles.

You’ve seen these bracelets before. 

Many of them are from the brand Mevecco on Amazon.

I recently purchased this turquoise bracelet, paperclip bracelet, and cable bracelet.

I freakin’ love them all!

Jewelry Care

These are inexpensive plated pieces so you might need to “baby” them for longevity.

Avoid the obvious: showers, pools, spraying your wrist with perfume while wearing them.

Store them in air-tight plastic bags, if possible.  This will keep the plating from damage and tarnishing.
