Plus Size Spring Capsule 2023 – Part 2

As Always, a Disclaimer

Let me preface this with what I regularly say when creating a capsule:  I am NOT a minimalist.   

If you’re looking for a minimalist capsule, I’m not your girl. 

I am an unapologetic clothes horse.  Every closet in my house, plus a spare bedroom, plus half of my dining room, are full of clothes!  (I need an intervention.)

So this is a collection of ‘mix and match’ outfit ideas for spring casual and work wear.

Outfit 5 Details

More looks for work and play.

Just like the outfits in Part 1, I started with a blush pink blouse.

But this time I paired it with a bright orange midi pencil skirt. 

Top with a denim jacket as needed.

And add some pink boucle loafers.

As for accessories, I started with one of my favorite designer bags, Saint Laurent’s Lou in taupe.

Then I saw these Ray-Ban aviators in a square shape and thought they’d be fresh for spring.

Jewelry

And for jewelry, gold classics: hoop earrings,  delicate bracelets, and a gemstone ring.

The  gold bracelets are from the brand Mevecco, which is on Amazon.

I recently purchased this turquoise bracelet, paperclip bracelet, and cable bracelet.

I freakin’ love them all!

Jewelry Care

These are inexpensive plated pieces so you might need to “baby” them for longevity.

Avoid the obvious: showers, pools, spraying your wrist with perfume while wearing them.

Store them in air-tight plastic bags, if possible.  This will keep the plating from damage and tarnishing.

Beauty

Finish your look with some tinted lip balm.

Add a spring fragrance with some perfume. 

I always get compliments when wearing this citrus and floral scent: J’Adore Dior Lumière.

Outfit 6 Details

This next outfit has the same pencil skirt, blush blouse, and boucle loafers.

But this time I was thinking about a work outfit, so I went with a large tote and a classic trench coat.

For jewelry, I stacked the wrist with one of my favorite gold chain bracelets, Tory Burch watch, ball bracelet, and a bangle.

And for earrings, you’ll see the same gold plated large hoops.

Plus, I added a ring I am low-key obsessed with.

Outfit 7 & 8 Details

The seventh and eighth outfits are much like the ones above, but I swapped the midi pencil skirt for some orange trousers.

For the eighth outfit, I thought about taking this look to work, just like outfit 6, so I included a large tote and a classic trench coat.

Outfit 9 – 12 Details

These next looks are essentially the same as above, but instead of the blush pink blouse, I added a cream blouse.

Then I added a scarf with pops of orange.

For shoes, I opted for some taupe mules or orange pumps.
