Let me preface this with what I regularly say when creating a capsule:  I am NOT a minimalist.   

If you’re looking for a minimalist capsule, I’m not your girl. 

I am an unapologetic clothes horse. 

Every closet in my house, plus a spare bedroom, plus half of my dining room, is full of clothes!  (I need an intervention.)

So this is a collection of ‘mix and match’ outfit ideas for early spring and summer work wear.

Plus Size Black Cropped Trousers Outfits

In Part 1 I focused on the red suit (jacket, pants) and the pink suit (pink tweed jacket, pink ankle pants). 

And in Part 2, I focused on outfits with the camel trousers.

So in this last section, I will show you how to incorporate the black cropped ankle pants.

Also, if cropped pants aren’t your thing, try these full length version.

Go all black with these looks: black pants, black square neck top, black belt, black bag, and black flats.

It works!

Or even try this look with the zebra kitten heels.

Or try things a little differently by accessorizing with the tan pieces: tan belt, Burberry tote, and Chestnut Tieks.

Tieks & My Wide Feet

I was recently gifted a pair of Tieks.

I have wide width feet and typically wear a size 7.5W in ballet flats.

The size 8 fit!  And they are cute and comfortable!

For these looks, I chose the color “Chestnut.”

More Plus Size Black Cropped Trousers Outfits

You can also top with the trench coat.  To be clear, a neutral trench coat goes with everything! 

And of the scarves from this capsule will work with these all black outfits.

The Trendy DeMellier Bag

I’m low key obsessed with the DeMellier “Midi New York” bag at the moment.

It’s quite hot right now, so I included it in this capsule.

If you need more room, try this larger version.

Same vibe, easier price.

Top the all black outfit with the red blazer or pink jacket.

Even More Plus Size Black Cropped Trousers Outfits

Swap the black top for the white short-sleeved white sweater.

Add a statement necklace or a leopard scarf.

Any of the scarves in this capsule will work.  Try this neutral square scarf.

Just a reminder, you can wear a scarf around your neck or head, tied on a ponytail, on your bag handle, or even your wrist!

You can wear the camel cardigan alone as a top.  Or layer it over a coordinating sleeveless turtleneck.

Top with a scarf to switch up the looks.

Or try these cropped black pants with the leopard blouse.

As you can see, you can wear these neutral looks with the black accessories or tan accessories.

You can also wear the pink blouse with the cropped black pants.

Top it with the leopard scarf to switch things up.  

You can also wear the red blouse with the cropped black pants.

I like these looks with both the black accessories and tan accessories.

I love how the red in the Burberry tote coordinates with the red blouse.

It also looks great with the khaki trench coat.  Classic!

You can add any of the scarves, but I really like the floral square scarf with this red blouse.
