Another look for my “plus size on a budget series!” This plus size t-shirt dress outfit is so cute and comfortable for summer! If you like hot pink, statement earrings, and leopard, this post is for you!
I want to prevent some anticipated feedback. So please keep these things in mind:
- “Budget” is relative. Some people easily spend $300 on sunglasses, while other people allocate $300 for their annual clothing budget.
- You may be able to find these items elsewhere for less. These are just some “budget-friendly” finds I have come across. And I typically don’t link to clearance items because they sell out and then people are disappointed. Also, I have no way of linking to thrift stores, but obviously, if you want to check out your local thrift stores, I think that is a great idea!
- Recycle & reuse. As with all of my posts, I hope that you can use the pieces you already have in your wardrobe. Additionally, I assume that you can reuse all of the pieces below in other combinations with things in your closet to create a variety of looks. Meaning, I think it is unfair to judge the expense of one outfit as though that is the only way to wear the pieces.
A plus size t-shirt dress is transformed into head-turning cuteness with some amazing accessories. And all on a budget.
The palm leaf earrings are on-trend but also “pop” with the pink dress because they have a complementary relationship. To understand this better, check out this post on color theory.
Then to further make a statement, I added a black and white striped straw tote bag. And I added even more interest with leopard espadrille sandals. You can find out more about mixing prints in my IGTV video, if you missed it.
Lastly, I threw in a geometric cuff that looks like a Trina Turk piece and Celine-inspired sunglasses. Get those designer vibes on a budget!

Love it! ?
Love this outfit! It’s my favorite color and the price is unbeatable! I like how you used textures and patterns in this outfit as well !
I’ve been hesitant to get a t-shirt dress because I don’t think the sleeves would look good on me. This dress has beautiful loose sleeves which will compliment my arms. The lipstick looks like it matches well and I love the shoes! The earrings seem a bit big, but I will look for similar in a smaller size. Thank you for this!
This is so cute and flirty!!! I ordered every piece and I can’t wait to wear it! Thanks so much for your inspiration I love your website! I am a teacher so the budget is tight. I love when you do these budget outfits. Please keep them coming! ?
Thank you, Sophia! I hope you love it! ?
I found the dress and I love it!
Great! I hope you see that all of the pieces are linked in the post. ?
I received the dress yesterday. It’s so soft and it has pockets!! I’m normally a 2X but this brand usually runs a little big, so I sized down. It fits perfect. Thank you for the inspiration!! It would be perfect styled with a white denim jacket too.
Perfect! Thanks for sharing!
I am not technically plus sized as I mostly fit a 12 . However, I like your styling ideas because plus size styling ideas still work better for my fuller body than straight size ideas. I just have to find a bit smaller size replacement. Good work!
