My “Disclaimer”

I want to prevent some anticipated feedback.  So please keep these things in mind:

  • “Budget” is relative.  Some people easily spend $300 on sunglasses, while other people allocate $300 for their annual clothing budget.
  • You may be able to find these items elsewhere for less.  These are just some “budget-friendly” finds I have come across.  And I typically don’t link to clearance items because they sell out and then people are disappointed.  Also, I have no way of linking to thrift stores, but obviously, if you want to check out your local thrift stores, I think that is a great idea!
  • Recycle & reuse.  As with all of my posts, I hope that you can use the pieces you already have in your wardrobe.  Additionally, I assume that you can reuse all of the pieces below in other combinations with things in your closet to create a variety of looks.  Meaning, I think it is unfair to judge the expense of one outfit as though that is the only way to wear the pieces.

Outfit Details

Maybe you’ve noticed I’ve been on a red, white, and navy kick lately.

I really can’t explain why exactly, but here we are with another one, only this time on a budget.

Once I saw these C. Wonder sandals, I knew I had to feature them.  They are so preppy and cute.

Plus, they look much more expensive than they actually are.  Check out the detail:Preppy Navy, Red, and White Thong Sandals by C Wonder from Walmart - Alexa Webb

After I decided on the sandals, the rest of the look was so easy to put together.

A striped tunic length cami in navy is an obvious choice.  If you’d prefer some sleeves, check out this t-shirt.

Then add some white cropped flare jeans and a basic blue denim jacket.  Go here for another look with similar white cropped jeans.

Accessories

For accessories, a straw tote is a staple.  I chose this one with a coordinating red, white, and blue scarf.

The jewelry are all classic gold pieces.  A set of bracelets to stack.  A coin layered necklace.  Plus, some light-weight thick large gold hoop earrings.  So on-trend!

Plus, I wanted to mention that I recently purchased a lot of jewelry from this brand, PAVOI, from Amazon, and must say the quality is really great for the prices!

You can check out some more of my picks in my Amazon store.

Some classic aviator sunglasses elevate any preppy look.

And lastly, add a bold red lip.

  1. I’m loving all the spring preppy looks! The sandals are amazing! I’m not sold on cropped flares yet, at least for me, though my “on trend” fashion sense has much to be desired, but I love the overall look! Thanks for all the work you put into theses posts – they definitely help me put together closet staples in ways I never would have thought of.

  2. Cutest sandals ever! They look much more expensive than they are. I’m so glad to see flare and wide leg back in style. Thanks for the outfit idea!

  3. I LOVE all your posts! You show such amazing pieces, but I’d love to see some great spring colors. Do you have anything that is maybe bubblegum pink, magenta, or tangerine? Would love to see!!
