Plus Size Striped Shift Dress

Considering my last post, I am on a roll with spring preppiness!  This plus size striped shift dress is so cute!  And it is SO preppy.

Outfit Details

This plus size striped shift dress (or here) is really easy to style.  Top with a basic denim jacket as needed.

Opt for some uber-preppy shoes, like the Tory Burch Miller sandals, which are now available in wide width!  So exciting!

Update: it looks like the wide width sold out immediately.  I hope they will be restocked.

Also, Ms. Burch is now also offering a more comfortable version.  Check out the Miller Cloud Sandals.

A Lilly Pulitzer cane tote bag makes the perfect accessory with a bamboo handle.  I really want this bag!

Of course, I have to add some color.  I chose these hot pink tassel earrings.

Lipstick

As I’ve said, my favorite lipsticks, which I readily admit are bougie AF and totally break the budget, are these Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-in-Stick Lipsticks (or here).

They’re 65% oil and feel amazing on the lips!  Not to mention they smell fantastic.  And I just can’t say enough great things about them!

The closest lippies I have found at more reasonable prices are L’Oreal’s Colour Riche Shine Lipstick and Sephora’s Rouge Lacquer Lipsticks

While both are similar, they aren’t even close to the decadence of the YSL ones.

  1. I love this dress, and the whole outfit!!But I have a question. I am an older, plus-sized woman who still loves the preppy style. I feel that this dress would be too short to look well on me (I am tall, also, but my legs are thick. I carry my weight all over.) I’d love to see some outfits for those of us over 50 who still like to look preppy & cute, but not inappropriately so. Thank you!!

  2. LOVE the Miller sandals and have been anxiously awaiting wide widths. The links you provided for rides go to the regular width items. I don’t see another item fir it in wide, nor are sizes indicated with a W or anything. How do I ensure I receive a wide?

  3. Please let us know if and when this goes on sale! Love the dress but after my draper james purchace I need to watch my money?
