Just a quick rundown about the sale if you aren’t familiar:
Nordstrom marks down brand-spanking-new fall items, including brands that rarely go on sale. After the sale, prices go back up. So the #NSale is a great opportunity to score some fresh items for the upcoming fall season at great prices!
This year’s sale has already started for Nordstrom card holders (“early access”) and opens to the public on July 20th. Of course, if you don’t have a Nordstrom card, you an apply for one online right now. And you don’t have to wait for the card to arrive in the mail to start saving. You can start shopping the sale immediately! Plus you get $20 to use at Nordy’s on the day you are approved! Woot!
By the way, don’t forget Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns all day everyday!

2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – Plus Size Work Outfits
Both of these plus size work outfits feature a basic formula: black trousers, off-white blouse, and a cardigan. Although I think the #NSale is a great opportunity to try these straight leg trousers made from “shape-retaining knit,” I also want to mention my favorite plus size work trousers. You can read more of my thoughts about my favorite work pants here.
In this first plus size work outfit, I went with more earth tones. Don’t be afraid to mix black with tan or brown. I love these neutrals together! The focal point is this gorgeous long necklace, which isn’t on sale, but I do think looks for more expensive than it is. I also included these awesome sunglasses that I have in a different color and paid full price for. (Sigh.) I absolutely love them! I think the color twist on the classic tortoise is amazing!

This second plus size work outfit from the Nordy Sale is the same formula: black trousers, off-white blouse, and a cardigan. You can’t go wrong with the combo! This time I chose a blush cardigan and blush accessories, including these pink tortoise sunglasses, which also look way more expensive than they are! I literally just added them to my cart, which already has 10 items. Gah! I’ve got to get under control! Hi Alexa, great fan of ur blog. So inspiring. I’m trying (with no luck) to find a black jacket u featured, last year I think. It had beautiful soft russhed shoulders that was very feminine . I think it was either by Nordstrom/ Polyvore or City Chic. Please help me find a picture of it. Many many thanks Trina Barry

Was it fabric or leather? If it was on Polyvore, that is going to be tough as it no longer exists. While I do have all of my work from Polyvore downloaded, I don’t have any organization or information. Right now nothing rings a bell, so I need more information.
