In case you haven’t noticed I’ve been really into burgundy lately (see this, this, and this). More specifically, I have been into nearly monochromatic looks with purposefully “matchy-matchy” hues. Basically, bold colors with coordinating accessories. The looks below follow that same vibe, except they are gorgeous greens with a Gucci belt that “pops” with a red stripe.

As I talked about in my Instagram Live the other night, using color theory, we know that complementary colors on the color wheel “pop” against one another. And red and green are complementary colors. Aside from beautiful colors for fall, they also happen to be very festive, making these ensembles perfect for the holiday season!
The first look is similar to a previous look I created with a green blazer. However, this green blazer’s hue is a bit deeper and richer. It pairs beautifully with these green booties, green bag, and green and red Gucci belt.

As I’ve said, I haven’t personally tried the Gucci belts, but they are still the “it” accessory. Sadly, they aren’t large enough for me. 
However, some of them, like the Double G belts come as large as a size 20 (or 44″ waist)!
However, this particular style only goes to a 110, but it stretches! Some readers reported that they can stretch the belt up at least one size or more. But, this similar version does come up to a 120. Keep in mind, it doesn’t stretch although it looks the same as the stretchy belt. See the updated size chart below for choosing the correct size. If they’re not in your budget, here is an alternative!

While we don’t want to look like the wives in The Handmaid’s Tale, you can’t deny that layers of these rich greens with a Gucci belt focal point is gorgeous. I even like the coordinating green coat to top off the look. But, in case that’s “too much” for you, the burgundy coat that I featured in my last post (and this one) is also a great option.
