A plum wine athleisure set for my “plus size on a budget series!”
And I styled the set two ways!
Plus Size on a Budget – Wine Athleisure Set

My “Disclaimer”
I want to prevent some anticipated feedback. So please keep these things in mind:
- “Budget” is relative. Some people easily spend $300 on sunglasses, while other people allocate $300 for their annual clothing budget.
- You may be able to find these items elsewhere for less. These are just some “budget-friendly” finds I have come across. And I typically don’t link to clearance items because they sell out and then people are disappointed. Also, I have no way of linking to thrift stores, but obviously, if you want to check out your local thrift stores, I think that is a great idea!
- Recycle & reuse. As with all of my posts, I hope that you can use the pieces you already have in your wardrobe. Additionally, I assume that you can reuse all of the pieces below in other combinations with things in your closet to create a variety of looks. Meaning, I think it is unfair to judge the expense of one outfit as though that is the only way to wear the pieces.
Outfit 1 Details
The first way I styled this wine colored v-neck sweatshirt and seamed sweatpants made of scuba knit is by polishing it up a bit.
I layered a plus size white shirt under and added some leopard flats. So smart, but comfortable!
Add a cognac tote– how great is this price?
And top the look with some tortoise cat eye sunglasses.
Jewelry
Love these on-trend gold curved square earrings!
And if you’re worried about these earrings sitting correctly on your lobes, try these stabilizing backs
I also have and love this ring. And such a great price!
Lastly, add a sophisticated gold watch for a little extra bouginess. Oof, how I love that!
By the way, you can check out my Amazon store and follow me on Amazon for more of my finds.
Jewelry Care
The aforementioned beauties are gold plated, so you might need to “baby” them for longevity.
Avoid the obvious: showers, pools, hot tubs, spraying your wrist with perfume while wearing them.
Store them in air-tight plastic bags, if possible. This will keep the gold plating from damage and tarnishing.

Outfit 2 Details
For the second look, I went a bit sporty.
Let’s start with the star of the show: these yellow sneakers.
They look a whole like the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 sneakers that Uma Thurman wore in Kill Bill. Iconic!
But, at a MUCH better price!
And at risk of being a little “matchy-matchy,” I added some yellow and black aviator sunglasses. I don’t care, I love the combo!
For the bag, try a black quilted nylon bum bag. Need a longer strap? Try this one.
Jewelry
I’m in love with this affordable gold charm necklace, which is 16″ with a 2″ extender. Try a longer extender, if needed.
Keep the earrings simple with these 7mm cubic zirconia studs.
Add the same gold watch from Look 1, gorgeous!
Lastly, add a set of rings to stack on your fingers.
Perfume
As for the perfume, you have heard me talk about the brand Dossier often.
I ordered a bunch of their scents. And so far, I love them!
You can find these French-made designer-inspired scents on the Dossier website, Amazon, and Walmart.
For this look, I chose the sophisticated classic “Ambery Vanilla,” which is inspired by Black Opium.
