My “Disclaimer”

I want to prevent some anticipated feedback.  So please keep these things in mind:

  • “Budget” is relative.  Some people easily spend $300 on sunglasses, while other people allocate $300 for their annual clothing budget.
  • You may be able to find these items elsewhere for less.  These are just some “budget-friendly” finds I have come across.  And I typically don’t link to clearance items because they sell out and then people are disappointed.  Also, I have no way of linking to thrift stores, but obviously, if you want to check out your local thrift stores, I think that is a great idea!
  • Recycle & reuse.  As with all of my posts, I hope that you can use the pieces you already have in your wardrobe.  Additionally, I assume that you can reuse all of the pieces below in other combinations with things in your closet to create a variety of looks.  Meaning, I think it is unfair to judge the expense of one outfit as though that is the only way to wear the pieces.

Outfit Details

When I saw this teal spring dress for under twenty-five bucks, I knew I had to feature it on the blog!

First, it’s a flattering cut. Second, it’s versatile.

I can see it being super casual for running errands in or working in a business casual office.

In the look below, I styled it for more casual outings (the straw tote is pretty casual (and cute)).

But I think could work in most business casual settings. Add a cardigan as needed.

I added some cute and trendy jewelry: this bracelet set is adorable.

These mules are sophisticated and look more expensive than they are.

And lastly, a peachy nude lip and feminine floral fragrance finishes the look.

Perfume

Versace’s Bright Crystal is one of my favorite scents, so I was delighted to see that the brand Dossier makes a comparable scent.

FYI, I had Dossier on my “to try” list for quite some time.

I ordered a bunch of their scents.  So far, I love them!

They smell just like the “real” thing.

Someone asked me about their longevity.

In my opinion they last as long as the fragrances they are inspired by.

Dossier’s “Fruity Magnolia” is inspired by Versace’s Bright Crystal.

Oh la la!  An amazing luxury scent at a fraction of the price!
