Four plus size black leggings outfits for fall into winter.
These looks are all practically the same with a few different details in the accessories.
You might remember some similar looks with the same leggings from this post.
This is my updated version for 2024.
Plus Size Black Leggings Outfits
Outfit Details
These looks are all about layers and bougie accessories.
For the first two looks, I went with a striped tunic with three-quarter length sleeves.
This tunic offers great bum-coverage with side vents for extra comfort.
Top it with a tunic-length zip-front hoodie as needed.
It is so chic with a drawstring waist.
Pro tip: if you’re apple-shaped, try wearing the hoodie open with some tension on the drawstring, giving the illusion of a waist.
Wear them over my favorite ponte knit leggings for the perfect “base.”
My Favorite Ponte Leggings
While any ponte leggings will do, I wanted to mention my favorite ones.
These leggings are stretchy enough to be comfortable but sturdy enough to maintain their shape.
And they are thick enough to look smoother than a typical legging.
Many readers have emailed me to say how much they love these leggings as I have been recommending them for years now!
However, if you are petite, try these. For tall, try these.
Accessories
Although these looks are neutral, they are anything but boring.
I added some luxe and bougie tan and camel accessories.
Starting with a tan suede baseball cap that looks much more expensive than it is.
Next, a quilted crossbody bag from Saint Laurent.
I have this bag in black and love it!
Then I added the iconic Burberry classic check cashmere scarf.
Don’t worry, if Burberry isn’t in the budget, I linked to some alternatives below.
As for footwear, I went with these Nike sneakers and some black ankle booties.
And you can see below, you can swap these out at will.
Jewelry
I started with some trendy huggie hoop earrings. These are a great price!
Then I stacked the wrist with some of my favorites, including this Tory Burch watch and bangle bracelet.
And I have the chain bracelet, it’s great and fits my slightly-larger-than-average wrists.
Try one of the Amazon bracelets for a selection of sizes, including larger wrists, at more reasonable prices.
Lastly, throw on my favorite gold ring. I wear it on my index finger. So fab!
Perfume
Now make sure you smell as expensive as you look!
I included Chanel’s Gabrielle, which is such a “rich” floral fragrance.
If it’s over your budget, I highly recommend you try the Dossier version.
I tried this perfume brand, Dossier.
I ordered a bunch of their scents. And so far, I love them!
I own their “Floral Ylang Ylang,” which is inspired by Chanel’s Gabrielle.
Oh la la! An amazing luxury scent at a fraction of the price!

These black ankle booties are waterproof and come in wide width.

For these next two outfit ideas, I swapped the striped tunic for a solid ivory tunic sweater.
This sweater has a V-neck and high-low hem with side slits.
If you want a lighter layer, try this ivory tunic tee.
And just like the two looks above, go with the sneakers or booties. Both work!

Hi Alexa!
I love your ideas and have bought many since I found you! Twice now I have bought from ELOQUII and just want to comment their order fulfillment is really slow compared to other vendors – not just amazon – just in general. Probably your popular links! Just FYI that if you ordered those ponti knit leggings, like me, you are gonna wait…I am afraid so many of the big box stores have excellent order fulfillment but ELOQUII has a needs improvement check next to their name and I will keep that in mind when ordering from them again…Not you, them. Keep doing what you do – its great!
Hi Laurie,
Thanks for the feedback. And thank you! 🙂
Oh gosh Alexa – it gets worse…they never delivered the product! They used DHL and they just decided to return my merchandise without ever contacting me – then they had the audacity to charge me for their failed shipment! I did contact ELOQUII to find out where my leggings were only to find all this out…unfortunately ELOQUII never contacted me about any of this…so thought you would want to know since you recommmended these leggings – i really wanted them – do you have an alternative pointe knit legging? Please everyone I DO NOT BLAME ALEXA!! But it is a service to her to know what is going on.
Hi Laurie,
This is crazy! I am so sorry that was your experience. I just ordered from Eloquii last week and got my order in about 4 days via FedEx. So, this is so surprising to me! For an alternative, I would try these. I hope you don’t have any issues. 🙂
You are awesome thanks so much!
