Outfit 1 Details

Oh I love Fair Isle! Especially for holiday outfits, like these.

A Fair Isle cardigan sweater is paired with a blue sequin skirt. Oof, this combination, so good!

Of course, if you think the sequin skirt is a little too “bling bling” for you, try jeans (I like these as they have a “trouser vibe”) or brown wide leg trousers. Heck, even brown denim would work!

And, as you’ll see below, copper sequin pants also look great! But we’ll get to that in just a minute.

Accessories

I had to add something needlessly luxurious to this look: a YSL quilted patent leather clutch in a rich cherry brown color. Ohhhhhhh la-to-the-la!

As always, I included less expensive alternatives below.

And for the shoes, I went with a kitten heel sling back with pointed toe in chocolate brown suede. Yes, brown is trending, but these beauties are a classic and in my opinion, an investment piece.

They have a 2.4″ heel. A lower option are these with a 1.5″ heel. Need flats? Try these!

Jewelry

For jewelry, I wanted a little dressed up, but also, just a little “everyday.”

So why not start with these super affordable blue crystal earrings?

Then, for the wrist, stack some two-toned classic pieces.

Lastly, I added a blue statement ring. I have one that’s very similar, also from Julie Vos, and I love it!

Lip Gloss Stick: A New Fave

I recently tried the YSL lippie “Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick” in “Showcasing Nude” and must say that I like this formula better than my favorite YSL lippies! Gasp!

I added this “lip gloss stick” in “Watermelon High.”

It seems to be as moisturizing as the Loveshine Lip Oil Sticks but with a better glossy finish.

The color doesn’t last very long on the lips, but the moisture does, for sure.

Anyway, I know they are bonkers expensive! But, they are SO good!

If you’re in the market for a bougie splurge, maybe give them a try?

For these last looks, I paired the same blue sequin skirt with a blue and white striped shirt.

By the way, if you have a white collared shirt, that will work too!

Let’s start with the oh-so-hot blue embellished satin flats from Manolo Blahnik.

Oh damn, they’re simply gorge, but also hella expensive. Why must I be plagued by this champagne taste?

Fear not, I found you some great and more affordable alternatives.

This gold rhinestone clutch is everything! And really bling-it-out with some starburst crystal earrings and a statement cocktail ring.

Lipstick

Admittedly I have not tried the Pat McGrath SatinAllure lipstick, but it’s on my wishlist.

I am always on the lookout for a nice nude lipstick with a satin finish.

And as I’ve said, I love the Pat McGrath “Mothership” palettes, which have excellent quality (as they should, look at the freakin’ price tag).

So I am extremely curious about the SatinAllure lipstick in “Nude Romantique.”

But, if that’s not in your budget (or just a ridiculous amount to pay for lipstick), my favorite drug store nude with a satin finish is L’Oreal’s “Fairest Nude.”
