Plus Size Christmas Outfit

To me, nothing says “Christmas” like bright red and plaid.  Oh, and sparkles, can’t forget sparkles!  Point is, this plus size Christmas outfit has it all: a beautiful red sweater, a statement crystal necklace, and plaid flats.

I personally think this is a great look for Christmas dinner, but if you want to do red and plaid in a dressier way, check out these plus size plaid Christmas outfits

Or if you want to wear plaid to a dressy dinner or party, be sure to see this plus size outfit with a sequin skirt and similar plaid flats.

I’ll include more about these at the bottom of the post.  I created a new category for the holiday ensembles I put together, you can see them all here.

And don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already!

This plus size Christmas outfit is a great mix of casual and dressy, ok, “dressish.”

The dark denim and flats say “easy,” while the crystal statement necklace, bright red lip, and clutch say: extra.

And why not be extra when you can!  If you’d prefer a pant, I would stick with a skinnier leg because of the sweater’s peplum.

Southern Editions

In the past I’ve created separate posts for those of you in warm climates, such as my Plus Size Thanksgiving Outfits – Southern Edition – Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3

But for this post and another Christmas Outfit post, I included a similar “Southern Version,” with a variation to make the look work in warmer weather.

What do you guys think of that format?

Or would you rather have separate posts for “Southern Editions,” like I did for Thanksgiving?  Please let me know in the comments below!  Thanks!

  1. Hi Alexa, Living in the south which can also get cold, I appreciate warm and cool versions in one post, and think “Southern Edition” is clever. Along the same line, what do you think about your posts including a long sleeve version for your sleeveless outfits, too? I don’t wear sleeves above the elbow at any time of year, to me it’s more flattering and polished, and wearing a jacket or sweater is not always practical.
Thanks for all you do to inspire stylishness in my life!

  2. I love seeing the southern and regular versions together- because the weather is always changing, but most importantly, it keeps you doing the mixing and matching for me!

  3. I love these Christmas outfits, Alexa! I really love plaid for Christmas and those flats are such an easy way to be trendy. I think what I love about all of these outfits how they are really simple and simple to achieve on your own.

  4. Just for fun you should do an Ugly Christmas Sweater post! I am invited to an Ugly Sweater party and although they are easy to find, it might make a fun Holiday post!
