Two new outfit ideas for my “plus size on a budget series!” Both plus size outfits feature the same boho dress. And the same accessories, just in different colors. Please let me know in the comments which you prefer!
My “Disclaimer”
I want to prevent some anticipated feedback. So please keep these things in mind:
- “Budget” is relative. Some people easily spend $300 on sunglasses, while other people allocate $300 for their annual clothing budget.
- You may be able to find these items elsewhere for less. These are just some “budget-friendly” finds I have come across. And I typically don’t link to clearance items because they sell out and then people are disappointed. Also, I have no way of linking to thrift stores, but obviously, if you want to check out your local thrift stores, I think that is a great idea!
- Recycle & reuse. As with all of my posts, I hope that you can use the pieces you already have in your wardrobe. Additionally, I assume that you can reuse all of the pieces below in other combinations with things in your closet to create a variety of looks. Meaning, I think it is unfair to judge the expense of one outfit as though that is the only way to wear the pieces.
Look 1 Outfit Details
Top this plus size boho dress with a long cardigan. I prefer an oversized cardi with this boho look, but any black cardigan will do. Keep the vibes Bohemian with a wide brim Panama hat. Of course, the ankle booties are also trendy and “boho.”
Then add some large hoop earrings, coin necklaces, and coin bracelets. I also recommend stacking on some rings too.

This second plus size budget boho dress outfit is a little pricier because of the teddy bear coat. But, I couldn’t find anything that similar for less.
All of the other accessories are the same, but the hat is in a tan and the booties are bone color.

Can this dress be worn with leggings?
This is exactly what I plan to do. It is the first thing I thought of when I saw the dress. Black leggings for sure. I am going to wear my denim jacket or denim coat dress ( as a jacket) with it.

I loved this…Ordered the dress…and the two of the hats…and…I already have the sweaters…and jewelry…but…I went to 6 pm.com and ordered Frye booties for 55 dollars and 59 dollars…Huge score off of a 398 dollar original price…Thank for for such cute ideas…I plan to actually see if I can pair the dress with leggings and my new booties. 🙂
