I absolutely love this outfit idea from Southern Curls & Pearls!
It is so simple and easy, but so chic. So I decided to recreate a plus size version.
However, I need a long-ish tunic if I am going to wear leggings. And I think this plus size tunic dress does the trick!
I featured it in a similar outfit previously on the blog. It is long enough to cover everything but short enough to work with these gorgeous suede wide calf over-the-knee boots.
Of course, if you are comfy rocking leggings with a top, please do so!
I can also suggest these ponte knit leggings and these ponte knit pants that are basically leggings with a thicker and more “forgiving” fabric.
Caitlin from Southern Curls & Pearls is wearing this oversized scarf, but I gave you more options below.
One thought, though: bigger is better. Part of the “chicness” of this outfit is the proportion of the scarf to the smaller stripes. This is also important if you’re going for a longer tunic.
