Plus Size Turquoise Shorts Outfit

Great for sunny summer days, this plus size turquoise shorts outfit will keep you feeling and looking cool!  These beautiful chino shorts {sold out} come in sizes up to 26W with a 7″ inseam.  They’re also available in petite and tall up to an 18.  Below I linked more shorts options, including Bermuda length and crops.

I’m still searching for my new plus size tee recommendations.  So far I have tried some tees from Lands’ End, Torrid, and Jessica London.  I’ll post my reviews soon.  And if you have any recommendations of tees for me to try, please let me know in the comments below.  As you may know, my favorite plus size tees now cost more than I’d like to ship from the UK, the shipping fees went from $5 to $20.  Ouch.  It’s still worth it for me because I know they’re worth it and can order a bunch at once, making it more worth it.  But, I understand that for trying out new tees, it may be too pricey.  However, if you are interested in knowing more about them, you can go here to read my thoughts!

  1. One of the things I hope you’ll talk about in your tee and tank review is thickness. Southern girls still need some coverage, but too thick is too hot! CAn’t wait to hear back on these.

    1. Hey Jenn,
Thanks for the feedback! So far I haven’t found any tees that I am in love with. The tees aren’t long enough, the sleeves are too short, or they are too see-through. Gah! Why is this so hard? Lol.

  2. Hi Alexa! At JC Penney the St Johns Bay tees are really nice quality. They don’t shrink and the fit it perfect. Perfect weight fabric too. My only complaint is that the plus sizes don’t come in all the fabulous colors that the missy sizes do ( sigh).

  3. My favorite t shirts I have bought are Isaac Mizrahi live that I buy from QVC. They are cotton /modal and breathable..don’t shrink..and don’t fade.. not see through .A lot of times they will have a buy more and save too. A little more spendy than your typical Target T-shirt. But worth it in my opinion because they last!

  4. I live in the south and will only wear very lightweight T-shirt’s with a v-neck or scoop neck.. I recently tried some from LOFT’s new plus collection and liked them. Also hadn’t tried Old Navy in years, but found a few T-shirt’s there. Thin, stretchy and with a v-neck.

  5. I like the Issac Mizrahi pima cotton tees that are sold on QVC. They are just the right length for a plus size lady with lower belly fat. These tees hit right below above the pelvic bone and are identical to Talbot’s pima cotton tees with hits at the natural waist. Both tees are around $35-$40.

  6. I love this outfit! I am so glad you offered a crop suggestion since I don’t feel comfortable wearing shorts. I am a regular Talbot’s shopper and I have ordered the same color crops you mentioned, except they have a scalloped edge (they were on sale). I am looking for an alternate scarf though since I think the one featured will be too thick/ big (it has a lot of fabric and can be worn as a pareo)- I am 5’4″ and busty. Anyway, I love the shoes you feature (wish T Burch would make wide width shoes) and am glad you provide wide width alternatives. I notice you feature some of the same shoes in different posts and was wondering if you might come up with a shoe wardrobe of 10 pairs or so (maybe one for summer and one for winter with some crossover flats, etc for both seasons). that would be great! thanks for all the work you do. you help me think of ways to use alot of the clothes i already have.

    1. Thanks, Tina! I do use the same shoes and accessories frequently. I like your idea! I was actually thinking of doing a post on wide width shoes, so this ties in nicely.

      Thank you!
