If you’re a regular reader of this blog then you probably know that my favorite work trousers, hands down, are the “Relaxed Trouser Pants” from Torrid.  You can read about how easy they are to care for and my fit details here.  So I’ve been so pleased to see that Torrid keeps expanding their “Studio Collection” of work pants and coordinating blazers.  Also, you’ve probably noticed that I’m obsessed with their peplum blazers.  You can see looks featuring their black peplum blazerhere and here.

All of that is to say that I am a huge fan of Torrid when it comes to work wear!  And while these days my “work wear” looks radically different than it used to as now I work from home.  But, I love that I get to dream up classy and interesting work outfits for my readers to wear to their offices!  So today I bring you plus size navy blue work outfits from Torrid.

All three of these work outfits feature the same plus size ponte trousers with a straight to boot leg.  But, you can also go with a skinny ankle pant if that’s your preference.  I think the trouser is a bit more classy and classic, while the skinny ankle pant is more modern.  Also, the trousers come in three different lengths, so if you need petite or tall, the trouser is going to work better for you.

This first look features the aforementioned peplum jacket I’m obsessed with.  So flattering and modern.  I threw in a bright and colorful cami, but any underpinning could work, making this a very versatile combination.  Of course, a killer bag is a good option to look like a total boss.  And a block heel pump in navy is a great option, but flats work as well.

This next look is so great for transitioning into summer with an adorable dot blouse and a pop of red.  Add classic accessories like aviator sunglasses, a boyfriend watch, and some bougie stud earrings.  Add the same block heel pumps in navy from look one or flats.  Lastly, make a real statement with a bold red lip.

This last look is still completely professional but with a nod to boho.  Think Stevie Nicks dressing herself for a corporate job.  Ok, she’d still probably have to add a fringed shawl and a pound of necklaces, but you get my point.  Lol.  This smocked semi-sheer georgette blouse is beautiful!  I layered a taupe cami under, but you could easily change the under-layer to change things up.  I added some retro designer sunnies and open-toe Mary Jane pumps to complete the look.

    1. Are you looking for a different blazer? If so, what type of shape/style do you prefer? Or are you looking for an alternative like a cardigan? Please let me know and I will try to make a suggestion. 🙂

  1. What kind of bra would you where under these tanks? Right now, I only wear a tank like this if I have a sweater or jacket to cover my bra straps. Thanks!

  2. The beautiful bright and colorful cami is not available in any size (*tear*). Do you have any other suggestions on a replacement bright cami that would still work with the navy look? I’m desperate and I live by your blog posts to know how to dress myself! You are a lifesaver and I GREATLY appreciate your work!
