My last plus size professional looks posts featuring a suit were so popular that I decided to create similar looks for spring. This plus size suit is totally luxurious, made from an Italian double-weave (stretch) fabric, and comes with several coordinating pieces, including: a very flattering single-button jacket, a zip-front jacket, sheath dress, bootcut trousers, and pencil skirt.
In my opinion the single-button jacket is flattering on nearly everyone because it features princess seams and a closure just under the bust, which create a flattering silhouette no matter your shape. Much like the last suit I chose, the modern cut will accentuate the waist of pears and hourglasses and create the illusion of a waist on other shapes. It also comes in a petite. But keep in mind you may have to take your suit in for tailoring. This is an investment piece, the effort will pay off.
If you are considering coordinates, my first choice are the boot cut trousers. Aside from the flattering cut, you can’t go wrong with a pantsuit. My second choice would be the pencil skirt, which will be great during the steaming hot summer months. Obviously these pieces can be worn in a variety of combinations or alone to create many different professional looks.
Because of the high quality of these suiting coordinates, they are pricey and not for everyone. Although, if they are in the budget, I do believe they are worth the investment, especially if you must dress professionally every day. But, I did find similar khaki coordinates at a lower price: jacket, pants, and pencil skirt. All of the items, as always, are listed below.
