I chose to feature a sweater dress to show how versatile they are.  Wait ’til you see these looks!

As you can see, a sweater dress can be dressed up for a holiday party.  Or styled just right for a night out.  And with the right accessories, a perfect way to look trendy with boho and western vibe.  Or lastly, a combination of preppy and après ski.

Regardless of your mood or destination, a black sweater dress is a great choice for fall and winter.  Plus, you can always layer some leggings under it for warmth!

Look 1

Easily dress up a black sweater dress with some crystal-embellished sandals and a crystal-encrusted clutch.  Add sparking dramatic statement earrings and a cocktail ring.

As for makeup, consider a smoky eye.  This eye shadow palette is perfect for any cool-toned night look. 

Use my favorite eyeliner in this amazing color, “Uzi.”  It’s a dark gunmetal shimmer with silver micro glitter.  

In fact, if you’re on the run, this liner is really all you need for an eye look.  Just smudge and go!

As with any dramatic eye look, a nude lip is the best choice.  The lip color “Barbara” is a tan rose.

A total 180 from look 1, look 2 is casual, trendy, and bohemian.  Some snakeskin Western booties and a wool fedora totally change the vibe.  

In true boho fashion, layer on the necklaces.  I chose to mix silver and gold.

Lastly, add a bold lip with this “Fire Down Below” shade, which is a deep matte crimson.

For a classic preppy wintery look, opt for an iconic Burberry scarf.  If that’s not in the budget, how about a nice tartan plaid scarf?
