I have had a lot of requests for plus size airport outfit ideas.
So today I give you one concept for four different climates for jetsetting.
Plus Size Airport Outfit
Comfortable and On Trend
Since loungewear and athleisure is still on trend, I went with some basic sweats.
After all, is anything more comfortable than some cozy joggers and sneakers?
So the base of these outfits are some black terry joggers and a black tee or sweatshirt or all three.
Also, to get tips on how to wear sweats like a boss, go here.
But what makes the look is third piece or top layer.
I have really been into neutrals lately. And I love black and tan or camel.
Depending on the temperature, top the base with a camel coat, trench coat, or sweater blazer.

One way to add black and tan to the color palette is with shoes and accessories.
These Nike sneakers with black and tan are perfect for neutral outfits like this one.
Just like the black and with tan trim of this Goyard tote.
I fell in love with the Goyard St Louis GM tote because of Amy from Fashion Jackson.
She shows it with so many looks with this bag.
It also comes in a smaller PM size.
As for accessories, I chose some bougie sunglasses like these. Or try my favorite sunnies from Amazon.
Some cubic zirconia stud earrings make a great choice.
They are classic and comfortable for sleeping on long flights.
A gold watch is also an easy and practical piece.
Lastly, toss this cheek and lip balm into your bag.
I have it in the shade “Magic Hour” which is a great neutral color.
This product is a quick and easy way to add some color to your lips and cheek while traveling.

The second combination features the same black sweats but topped with a trench coat.
A trench coat is a classic piece and should be a staple in everyone’s wardrobe, in my humble opinion.

If you’re in warmer weather, opt for the trench over a t-shirt.
I love these luxury tees from Universal Standard.
You might remember me mentioning them in this post.
I said: “I have these t-shirts. They are so soft and luxurious!
But, one thing to note is they have modal in them, which allows them to drape beautifully if you have the correct size.
But, if the tee is too small, it will cling in all the wrong ways.
You can’t stretch it out like a 100% cotton t-shirt. So make sure you get the correct size.”

Help us plus sized ladies pack for a trip in a carry on. My clothes are bulkier and there is no way I can stuff as much in my bag even if I follow the suggestions made by a size 4 who lives in spandex and tank tops.
I have followed you for several years and enjoy your fashion so much, but I’m a senior plus size woman, and would like to see a blogger who is in my age/size bracket(over 65,size 20-24). Can you give me any suggestions. I will continue to read you every day, you are a beautiful young woman with wonderful fashion style!
I am 57 and have found these styles perfect for our age bracket. Of course there is some picking and choosing! You are 65 years young!!! No need to feel you can’t wear these things. They are very stylish and classic.
Hi so nice outfit
You’ve inspired me! I ordered some black joggers, black t-shirt (both from Amazon), Nike shoes, and the camel cardigan (from Avenue) for an upcoming flight. I can’t wait to get everything together and see if it works. Thank you for this post!
Airport outfits is such a great idea! I travel a lot, but can never seem to get the outfit quite right. I’d love to see more of these, please.
I love the casual outfits for travel!! I watch all your posts and even though I am a very senior plus lady I still work full time and your outfits work for me!! By the way- the expensive Yves St Laurent Oil in stick lipstick that you mentioned in previous post is the most fabulous lipstick ever!!! I am hooked on it!
