A plus size fall dress outfit idea that can take you from brunch, to drinks, or a casual dinner. Plus, I think this would make a great outfit for teachers!
But, the look is totally sensible with ballet flats. Just FYI, my favorite flats, for comfort, are these from Naturalizer, which also come in wide width. The Lucky Brand flats I featured also come in wide width, but I personally found to be less supportive. But, they are more budget-friendly. So, it just depends on your preference. See some more affordable options below as well.
And lastly, I added a coordinating cropped cardigan in a bright orange color. I love the shape of this cardi. It is especially flattering for apple shapes and works well with the silhouette of the dress.
I own this similar cardigan, also in “Fiesta,” but it looks very different (more hot coral), than the “Fiesta” one I linked to. So bear in mind, it might not be true to color. I’m really unsure. But, I swear, you’ll love it.
And there are a couple of things I want to mention about this cardis. While I really do think that the quality is on par with more expensive ones you see on ModCloth, which I also own, at the end of the day, they are not high quality sweaters. They’re acrylic and are less than 25 bucks. So, they do have the tendency to pill.
To help them wear well, I suggest hand-washing with Woolite. But if you are not really the hand-washing type and you decide to machine wash, use cold water, on gentle, with the sweater in a separate laundry garment bag to protect it. If you do see some pilling, you can always use a sweater shaver to restore the look of the fabric.
I also linked to a higher quality longer cardigan too. It’s a cotton blend and machine washable. While it is more practical, it is not as cute, in my opinion. And lastly, if you need a jacket, I recommend a classic trench or denim jacket.
