Before getting into the outfits, let’s talk about how to shop the sale!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020

As I’ve said, the 2020 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here!  And today I am bringing you some more plus size outfits from the sale.

But first, in case you’re not familiar, each summer Nordstrom has an amazing sale!  Why so amazing?

Well, Nordstrom marks down brand-spanking-new fall items, including brands that rarely go on sale.  After the sale, prices go back up.

So this sale is a great opportunity to score some fresh items for the upcoming fall season at great prices!  Take a look at this year’s plus size sale items!

#NSale Sale Access

This year, the #NSale is a little different.   First, the sale will be accessible to Nordstrom cardholders (“early access”) as of August 4th and to all cardholders by August 13th.

Then the sale opens to the public on August 19th.

Prices go up on August 30th.  And beware, things do sell out quickly!

And as always, remember that Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns all day, every day!

Get a Nordstrom Card to Shop Early

Of course, if you don’t have a Nordstrom card, you can apply for one online right now.

And you don’t have to wait for the card to arrive in the mail to start saving.  You can start shopping the sale as early as now!

Plus, you get $40 to use at Nordy’s at a later date if you use your card the day you are approved!  Woot!

Below are some of my outfit ideas featuring some of this year’s sale items.

Now on to the outfits!

Look 1 – Barefoot Dreams Cardi

This first look features a Barefoot Dreams cardigan that is on sale and I highly recommend it.  It does run large so you may want to size down.

Let’s chat for a minute about Barefoot Dreams, they make a bunch of items, including cardigans, socks, and throws.  All with their super soft bouclé knit, which is one of the softest textiles I’ve ever touched!  You can also find more here.

This cardigan is great for lounging around the house or running errands in some camo pants.  The ankle-length pants are also part of the NSale.  As well as this cami.

The Finishing Touches

Keep things modern with some platform sneakers and bougie with a designer crossbody bag.  Unfortunately, only the kicks are on sale.  I am still coveting the YSL bag.

I also added some chic gold jewelry, most of which is on sale.  I love those trendy earrings!  And some designer aviator sunnies which are also a part of the NSale.

My Favorite Lipsticks

As I’ve said, my favorite lipsticks, which I readily admit are bougie AF and totally break the budget, are these Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-in-Stick Lipsticks (or here).

There is a set of them available for the sale.  You get the Nude Sheer shade and Chili Tunique, a brownish red with warm undertones.

This might be a great way to try them out at a discount.  Or if you’re a collector like me, stock up!

They’re 65% oil and feel amazing on the lips!  Not to mention they smell fantastic.  And I just can’t say enough great things about them!

The closest lippies I have found at more reasonable prices are L’Oreal’s Colour Riche Shine Lipstick and Sephora’s Rouge Lacquer Lipsticks.  While both are similar, they aren’t even close to the decadence of the YSL ones.

Shop the Look

Look 2 – Rose Gold Cardi

Look 2 is similar to look one except I added a blush pink cardigan and some rose gold accessories.  Oh, and of course, pink croco slip-on sneakers.

I love these rose gold sunglasses, which are part of the Anniversary Sale.  Then I added a variety of gold, two-tone, and rose gold jewelry.

Pillow Talk Lipstick

Lastly, I also included one of my favorite lipsticks.  The iconic Charlotte Tilbury “Pillow Talk,” which is a universally flattering nude.  It’s matte but not drying what so ever.  And it’s also a great choice for overlining your lips since it is such a natural color.

Charlotte (I say that like we’re close personal friends, ha!) also recently came out with a darker shade for medium and deeper skin tones and an “intense” shade for even deeper skin tones.

But, if it’s out of your price range, Mac’s Cosmo and NYX’s Euro Trash are supposed to be great alternatives for Pillow Talk.

I also want to mention that if you want a set of lipstick, lip liner, and lip gloss, like the one I bought last year, this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale will include a set.
